Tracy Mathewson

Tracy is a writer/director originally from California who got a PhD to avoid being deported back in 2017. Currently, Tracy is assisting Oscar-winning filmmaker Chloé Zhao with her upcoming feature film HAMNET. Tracy’s screenwriting has placed in the top 15% of the Academy Nicholl Fellowship competition. Her short films have garnered multiple awards for best writing, best directing, and best genre categories in Bafta and Bifa-qualifying festivals since her debut in 2014.
