James Oldham 

Lighting Designer

James Oldham is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work spans performance, composition, and production. He co-founded Waste Paper Opera, a collective known for its experimental and research-driven performances. Self-taught in lighting design, he has worked across various contexts, from fringe theatres to large-scale productions. James has performed internationally and recently completed an AHRC-funded PhD on comic timing in music.

James’ approach to lighting is informed by his extensive experience in experimental theatre and music, which enables him to bring a unique perspective to each project.
